Environmental Analysis services offered include a full range of environmental impact analysis (EIA), from assisting an agency in finding exemptions for a specific project to assembling a team of experts for a comprehensive environmental impact report (EIR/EIS). We specialize in incorporating mitigation into project design, thereby reducing agency requirements. From individual site assessments to team participation in Program EIR’s, Habitat Conservation Plans and Master Plan EIR’s, we provide biological assessments needed for meeting ESA and other agency requirements. Our services include working for agencies, private land owners and developers/entrepreneurs. We also teach/offer coursework in NEPA/CEQA, including field techniques.
We are currently teaching a 3-unit lecture/lab on NEPA/CEQA Assessments to 48 students at Humboldt State University in Arcata, CA (NRPI 425 Environmental Impact Assessments). We are redesigning the course to incorporate field techniques to add to existing requirements of document review, environmental assessments and preparation of EA’s and EIR’s utilizing several local coastal project locations each semester. We have incorporated contemporary subjects including climate change, alternative energy assessments, stormwater and invasive species management.
