As energy and resource management policy advances at all levels of government, Streamline is offering a variety of services to assist public and private clients in meeting climate change and sustainability obligations, utilizing knowledge and experience to develop solutions for curbing energy, emissions, and resource consumption.
Climate Action Plans
A community based mechanism, that combines green infrastructure design and planning to address global climate change at the local and regional level. These plans specifically focus on the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions in all sectors of a community, through the development of specific goals, targets, policies, and ordinances.
Landscaping for Energy Conservation
Landscaping can either negatively or positively impact wildlife habitat, water and energy consumption depending on the design of the landscape. This service involves retrofitting or designing landscapes that add visual character to a home, development, or park while reducing energy and water consumption by using careful selection and placement of native plants tolerant of our community’s microhabitats and natural weather conditions.
Sustainability Plans
Sustainability plans concentrate on the integration of environmental, social, and economic conditions to meet current as well as future needs of municipal or regional communities. The plans address higher efficiencies of our built environment while reducing the consumption of natural resources, focusing on topics such as energy, water, waste and transportation.
General Plan Updates
General plans can incorporate policies and strategies, for municipalities to comply with state requirements and the State Attorney General’s guidance for energy conservation and climate change. General plan language can direct future decision making towards reduction of greenhouse gases, like carbon dioxide emissions, to meet AB32 and SB375.
Compliance with CEQA/NEPA
Projects can be impacted by the results of climate change as well as contribute to the acceleration of climate shifts. These impacts are required to be addressed in both CEQA and NEPA documents. Proper project description, strategies, and mitigation measures are developed to meet federal and state requirements.
Community Workshops
Tailored to garner four main outcomes: education, engagement, pro-activeness, and preventative healthcare for the residents of the community, our workshops provide a process to engage community involved, increase awareness, stimulate response and gain perspective on opportunities and constraints for change and development.
Grants and Funding
Streamline has continually been involved with grant applications and implementation assistance for jurisdictions. We are capable of assisting with the applications and the selection of projects to maximize funding. Streamline staff is also well versed in monitoring and reporting grant progress and can assist in this process throughout the grant period.
