City of Blue Lake, CA

Blue Lake Planning Areas

The City of Blue Lake is a small urban town (pop. 1135, Census 2000) with a rich historic past. Blue Lake is off Highway 299, approximately 12 miles in from the Pacific Ocean. Staff at STREAMLINE Planning has been providing a full array of planning department services for eighteen years (since 1987). Our responsibilities include providing weekly office hours to the public, pre-application review meetings, processing all planning-related applications, building permit referrals, public noticing and agendas, staffing at planning commission meetings, upkeep of application databases, code enforcement and permit compliance and appeals to the City Council.

Permit processing has included everything from daily property inquiries, home occupation permits and site plan approvals to use permits, variances, major and minor subdivisions, to annexations, zone reclassifications and general plan map amendments. STREAMLINE has also participated in Town Hall/Visioning presentations and interagency meetings.
